Sourdough Pizza Dough

I'm excited to tell you I'm making my first thing with my sourdough starter. Pizza Dough Crust!

Ingredients:

  • 3/4 cup Sourdough Starter

  • 1 1/2 cup flour

  • 1 cup Whole Wheat Flour

  • 3/4 Cup Lukewarm water

  • 1 TSP Salt

  • 1 TBSP Olive Oil

  • 1/2 TSP Instant Yeast ( I decided to do this step because it would be 8 hours of wait time if I didn't)

  1. I mixed all the ingredients together in a large bowl until they were well combined and then I let it sit out for about 15 minutes.

2. Then I kneaded the dough. I noticed it was a little dry. So, like clay, I took a little bit of water and kept kneading the dough. I did that twice and it felt a lot better.



3. I formed it into a ball, with the seam side up, placed it into my banneton basket with the top. Then I let it sit for 3 hours.



It rose pretty well after three hours.
